Ms. Rodriguez is thrilled to be part of the Equitas team because of their efforts to empower scholars and families to achieve great things, including graduating from college. As a first in her family to go to a four-year university, she attended California State University, Long Beach where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Immediately after graduating, she moved to Las Vegas where she earned her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. While in Las Vegas, she taught 1st Grade for two years at a local charter school. Prior to becoming a teacher, she worked as a teacher assistant at a middle school where she enjoyed assisting students in both Math and Reading. Ms. Rodriguez is a strong believer of knowledge being empowering and wants to instill this in all her scholars. She loves discovering new hiking trails and restaurants in her free time. Ms. Rodriguez is overjoyed to be teaching in her city and looking forward to working with both scholars and their families.
