Arturo Vizcaino is excited to join the EQ3 family this school year! He started in education as a teacher’s assistant in West Hollywood. This is where he discovered his interest in teaching, built connections with students, and enjoyed creating a fun, comfortable classroom environment. For the past several years, he has worked as a substitute teacher at dozens of elementary schools around Los Angeles. During this time, he was introduced to EQ3 and was impressed with how committed every staff member was to each and every scholar’s success. After several long-term assignments at EQ3, he is ready to plant some roots here and evolve as an educator. Arturo graduated from Cal State University, Los Angeles with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. He enjoys going to flea markets, hiking, coffee and sweets, and spending time with his family. He is eager to grow in his new role at EQ3 and is looking forward to helping scholars grow, working alongside the amazing staff, and being a part of the Equitas community.
