Ms. Vega loves her role as a 2nd grade teacher at Equitas Academy #3!  After joining Equitas as a founding Kindergarten teacher five years ago, Ms. Vega has transitioned into teaching 2nd grade and has loved every moment of it! She strongly believes in the Equitas mission that all scholars can and will graduate for college. Ms. Vega attended Mount St. Mary's University in Los Angeles where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies, a minor in Psychology, and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. She returned to Mount Saint Mary’s to obtain a Master’s in Creative Writing. She and hopes to one day publish a book or produce a screenplay. Ms. Vega works hard to provide a safe and fun learning environment for all scholars at EQ3 and enjoys seeing their growth throughout the year. She is proud to be a part of a founding team with dedicated teachers and staff that ensure families and their scholars receive the best education. During her free time, Ms. Vega enjoys writing children's stories, playing the piano, and reading books.
