Ms. Pariano is excited to move into her new role as Dean of Instruction at Equitas Academy 3! She strongly believes in the Equitas mission that all students deserve to not only attend, but also excel in college. Raised in a small town in rural Ohio, she was the first person in her family to graduate from college, earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree in education from Ohio University in 2008 (Go Bobcats!). She joined Teach for America in 2009 and moved to Los Angeles, teaching special education for two years at ICEF Vista Middle Academy. After graduating from Loyola Marymount University in 2011 with a Master’s degree in Special Education, Ms. Pariano went on to teach 5th grade math at KIPP Academy of Opportunity in South Los Angeles. She has spent the past two years as the founding resource specialist teacher at Equitas Academy 3. In her free time, Ms. Pariano loves to cook, craft, play board games, try new restaurants, cuddle with her dog, Carly, and go to the movies with her husband, Jared.
