Ms. VanDervort is ecstatic to be joining the Kindergarten team at Equitas Academy! Although she is new to the Los Angeles area, Ms. VanDervort already feels at home within the Equitas Community. She knows that Equitas has strong values that directly align with her passions. Ms. VanDervort grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, where she attended Kent State University. This is where she studied early childhood education, and graduated magna cum laude in 2019. Ms. VanDervort has been passionate about teaching PreK-3 throughout her entire life, but holds a special place in her heart for Kindergarteners. Her favorite subjects to teach are Phonics and Science! In Ms. VanDervort’s free time she enjoys camping, hiking, going to the beach, and spending time with her cat, Penny. Ms. VanDervort is very excited to meet all of the new scholars and their families at Equitas Academy #3!
