Ms. Hill began her educational career in the year of 2008 in her hometown of New Orleans, LA. After graduating from the University of New Orleans, she taught in KIPP New Orleans schools for 6 years and gained a plethora of knowledge and training to better herself as an educator for her scholars. Ms. Hill decided to move to New York City and teach with KIPP NYC schools for 4 years. There, she continued her learning and received a Masters of Art in Teaching Degree from Relay Graduate School of Education. Ms. Hill finds so much joy in teaching scholars and learning from them as well. She loves to explore, try new things and create new experiences. After contributing to the educational growth of scholars in metropolitan cities like New Orleans and New York City, she had the bright idea of exploring a new metro area and made the move to Los Angeles, CA. Ms. Hill went on a search to find an amazing educational institution that provides scholars with structure, academic rigor and the belief that ALL scholars can and will get to and through college. She wanted to serve the scholars of Los Angeles that deserved a quality education and may have not been afforded one based on their demographics, just as her students in N.O. and NYC. Ms. Hill came across Equitas Academy and knew she had found THAT place! She is the 3rd grade Instructional Coach and teacher and is thrilled to be a part of the EQ family! In her spare time, Ms. Hill enjoys spending time with her two dogs, trying out new restaurants with friends and exploring all that Los Angeles has to offer.
